Food Defense
The FDA has tasked companies with addressing the Intentional Adulteration of foods in their facilities. This is a new concept for many companies and the required documentation is new for all companies.
This review includes a vulnerability assessment to determine the risks within the facility and the process, as well as addressing the potential for an internal attack. Specific training is required to develop and execute certain parts of the Food Defense plan.
Your vulnerability assessment must include the following:
-
Potential public health impact
-
Degree of physical access to product
-
Ability of attacker to successfully contaminate the product
-
Appropriate monitoring actions
-
Corrective actions
-
Documentation of the verification of the above activities
-
Documentation of necessary training
